About Bob Feldman
Bob Feldman is an international corporate trainer, executive coach and management consultant for communication and presentation skills. Born and raised in Chicago, he also has lived and worked for lengthy periods on two other continents, primarily in Germany and Singapore, which he now makes as his home. He holds a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Movement, Psychology and Education and a Masters Degree (M.Ed.) in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Illinois. Bob is a certified Personal Efficiency Program (PEP) Consultant with d'Oz International and a certified Belbin Team Roles Facilitator. He is also a professional member of Asia Professional Speakers – Singapore (APSS). In the business arena, he has been Managing Director of a successful arts company for the last 12 years. Furthermore, he is a certified massage therapist as well as a certified professional practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method and has worked in conjunction with healthcare and medical professionals and in corporate wellness programs.
Bob's expertise is in the area of personal and professional effectiveness. Topics include cross-cultural and interpersonal communication, creative expression, dynamic presentation, media training, body language, stress management, leading with a creative edge, management and supervisory skills, teambuilding, time and energy management, self-image and personal development. His workshops are highly participatory and motivating. For 15 years he was an actor, director, teacher and trainer with the United Mime Workers Theatre Company, an internationally acclaimed professional mime theatre group which toured throughout the United States as well as in Europe and Latin America at theatres, universities and public venues. He continued teaching acting skills at colleges and theatre schools in Germany and Singapore, including LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and the National Institute of Education (NIE). He has also led trainings in China, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Australia. In the U.S. he received numerous creative programming awards for communication skills workshops for a wide range of groups spanning from business professionals and social service agencies to work on Indian reservations and at a federal prison.
Since coming to Southeast Asia, he has been training extensively with the Singapore Civil Service College's Institute for Public Administration and Management (IPAM), providing in-house and general training for the Ministry of Health, Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, National Environment Agency, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower, among others. He has given talks for the Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS), the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and the Public Relations Academy (PRACAD), and has provided training for staff at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
